The
Detonators Before Rock, there was Rockabilly, Blues and Rhythm n’ Blues. The Detonators, through their original songs, recreate the styles that made the mid to late 50s such a vital time in music’s history. They play an era, not simply a genre. The quartet’s original blend of blazing jump-rock blues is infused with the driving energy inherent in their heros’ music. Chuck Berry, Little Walter and Hound Dog Taylor are some of the influences that give this band their distinctive sound. “Rockbottom” James Moloney on vocals and harmonica. Paulie “The Kid” Bignell on guitar. Eddie Fury on sticks and skins "Doghouse” Dave Philpots on bull fiddle bass |

Ben
Rodgers' Instrumental Asylum When electric guitars ruled the earth…™ Ben Rogers’ Instrumental Asylum is a high-energy, surf-style trio dedicated to reverb drenched surf/gypsy/Tarantino guitar. Their albums and live performances have received rave reviews from critics in Australia, USA and UK: “A muscular, lovingly distorted guitar sound” – Greg Haymes, Times Union (USA) “There are no vocals on this album. They would be superfluous on material interpreted by Ben Rogers, a guitar player whose genre bending technique, taste and eclecticism place him among the world’s great guitarists.” – Billy Pinnell, JB Mag (Australia) “…guitar ace Ben Rogers brings the rock instrumental sound solidly into the now” – Robert Silverstein, 20th Century Guitar (USA) “Huge guitar, intense energy, and very emotional” – Phil Dirt, Reverb Central (USA) "Against the hard-driving rhythm section of Nikki Scarlett on bass and Denis Close on drums, Ben fires salvo after salvo of tastily aggressive licks…” – Alan Taylor, Pipeline (UK) |
